Quality inspection and Assurance
When someone wants to import goods, they wish to receive exactly what they ordered especially when the reputation, growth, or survival of their business depends on those goods.
Production of goods and delivery of them to your hands involves a long and complicated process. Therefore, depending on the needs and requirements of each business, different quality control measures need to be taken.
At Pamika, depending on the requirements of the customer we conduct three different kinds of quality control and assurance measures to make sure we deliver the highest quality service to our customers
1. Pre-production inspection
Pre-production inspection is conducted in the manufacturer’s facility and includes checking of raw material, tools, and machinery used for production to see if the manufacturer has the ability and capacity to produce the required quantity of goods, within the timeframe and the quality standards required. We recommend this type of quality control be conducted in the following cases.
- When you have strict quality standards and are working with this manufacturer for the first time.
- When late deliveries or substandard products could bring you irreparable losses which makes this a considerably worthy measure to prevent problems.
- When you want to mass-produce and introduce a new product to the market.
- When your products are supposed to be used in a large project that has very tight deadlines for delivery dates.
2. During production inspection
During-production inspection is also conducted onsite during the 20% to 80 percent of the production progress and includes the following:
- Random sampling of semi and fully finished goods and checking their durability, performance, overall appearance, and dimension.
- checking if the production progresses according to the timeline.
- Checking if the packaging, marking and labelling is being done properly and conducting tests such as drop test and barcode scanning This inspection is considered a follow-up inspection method for pre-production inspection andmust be conducted almost in every case where pre-production inspection is done.
3. Pre-shipment inspection
Pre-shipment inspection is the final checkpoint to find out any defects with the products and is done when 100% of products are produced and at least 80% are packed at the manufacturer’s facility or a warehouse where goods are consolidated for shipping. In this inspection type, the inspector picks samples of goods randomly based on AQL standards for quality and quantity to be checked and inspects their functionality, performance, durability, overall appearance, and dimension.
After the inspection is done, the inspector sends you a report including all the observations and findings with clear pictures of the goods and the packaging within 24 hours. We highly recommend this type of inspection to be done for all goods since it will be very costly and troublesome to return defective goods when all the export and import procedures are done.
